We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable Payroll Administrator to join our finance and HR operations team. This position plays a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work confidently with employees across the organization.
What You’ll Do
Manage the full payroll cycle on a biweekly basis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Maintain and update payroll data within ADP Workforce Now (or similar platform), including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and employee changes.
Provide onboarding support for new employees, including training on timekeeping systems and answering payroll-related questions.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, partnering with HR, managers, and employees as needed.
Review and reconcile payroll transactions, deductions, benefits, and accruals to ensure accuracy and proper accounting.
Process and track third-party payments such as payroll taxes, retirement plan contributions, FSA/HSA deductions, and wage garnishments.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc payroll reports for internal departments and external agencies, including compliance and tax filings.
Support month-end and year-end payroll activities, including audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
Maintain organized and compliant personnel and payroll records in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards.
Serve as a backup resource for the Payroll Supervisor and collaborate closely with HR, Accounting, and department leaders.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
4–10 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally in a mid-sized or large organization.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) and general office software.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now or comparable payroll systems is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of payroll laws, accounting principles, deductions, and accrual processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
