Construction company in Brea has an immediate need for a temporary Payroll Administrator to work a 6 month contract for a maternity leave coverage.
Pay range: $30-38hr, based on experience.
Hours: M-TH 8-5pm, Friday 7-4pm, 40 hours per week.

DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to coordinate, administer and process union payroll for about 700 employees per week across 2 different locations.
JOB FUNCTIONS
• Coordinate with Foreman to ensure that time and reimbursements for approximately 700 employees is turned in on time and complete.
• Process payroll for approximately 700 field employees
• Responsible for the distribution of all payroll checks
• Audit all payroll to ensure wages are correct and meet prevailing wage requirements when necessary
• Audit all payroll reimbursements
• Responsible for maintaining all employee files and I-9 verifications
• Update employee info as requested
• Researches and resolves issues for employees, including adjustments to pay due to errors or retroactive increases
• Ensure employee setups are complete and accurate
• Answer telephones
• Misc. duties as needed
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-5 years of payroll experience
• Construction and/or union experience
• Ability to work in a face-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Bilingual Spanish
