Now Hiring: Payroll Specialist

Job Type: Temporary and Temp-to-Hire
We’re looking for a detail-driven Payroll Specialist to join a collaborative team in West Valley City. In this role, you’ll take ownership of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with a solid understanding of payroll systems and regulations who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
What You’ll Do:
Process bi-weekly payroll across multiple states and locations
Maintain and update payroll records and timekeeping systems
Handle payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, and adjustments
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
Support internal and external payroll audits with accurate documentation
Collaborate with HR and Accounting to resolve payroll discrepancies
Generate payroll reports and assist with reconciliations
Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
What You Bring:
Previous experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a payroll-related role
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance standards
Hands-on experience with payroll/HRIS systems (ADP, SAP, Kronos, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Excellent attention to detail, math skills, and analytical thinking
Strong communication and organizational abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field preferred
CPP or similar payroll certification a plus
