Job Title: Payroll Accountant – Construction
Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL (100% onsite)
Schedule:M–F, 8am–5pm
About the Role:
We are seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage construction payroll, job costing, and labor allocations. This role involves processing payroll, posting labor burden and workers’ compensation costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in a growing company. You’ll work closely with Accounting, HR, and Operations.
Qualifications:
3+ years payroll accounting experience in construction or job-costing environments
Experience with payroll, labor burden, and workers’ compensation a
accounting
Familiarity with construction accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, Procore)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred:
Prevailing wage/certified payroll experience
Multi-state payroll experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance
Key Competencies: Accuracy, compliance, collaboration, and construction accounting expertise
