Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Operations Specialist to support a high-performing Lockbox operations team in Atlanta. This role focuses on managing and processing change requests, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting client-related operational workflows.
This position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Compared to more entry-level processing roles, this position involves more investigative work, system navigation, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and process Lockbox-related change requests received through the Automated • Enrollment Solution (AES) system
• Analyze requests and supporting documentation to ensure accurate execution of updates
• Maintain and update reports using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Track and manage requests across multiple internal systems
• Add and document relevant information for each request throughout the lifecycle
• Perform weekly reconciliation and balancing of processed requests
• Support data integrity within the larger Lockbox database, including customer details and account specifications
• Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and partners via email
Required Qualifications
•Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (data tracking, reporting, organization)
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word (documentation and process updates)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple requests and workflows simultaneously
• Strong written communication skills, particularly in a professional email environment
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior Lockbox operations or financial services experience
• Familiarity with workflows, account setups, and customer data management
• Experience working with multiple systems in an operations or processing environment
