Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Patient Service Rep for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare administrative professional who enjoys supporting patients, coordinating appointments, managing authorizations, and helping a busy medical office operate efficiently.
As a Patient Service Rep, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients and internal care teams in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare services environment. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient scheduling across multiple departments while helping ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.
- Provide high-volume phone support, including answering patient questions, routing calls, and assisting with appointment-related needs.
- Process, track, and manage patient authorizations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Use EPIC to update patient records, manage scheduling information, and support daily administrative workflows.
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and internal departments regarding appointments, authorizations, and care coordination needs.
- Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism while working in a busy healthcare setting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Coordinate patient appointments and scheduling workflows in a healthcare setting.
- Manage patient authorizations and related administrative follow-up.
- Provide high-volume phone support and patient service assistance.
- Maintain accurate patient information and scheduling updates in EPIC.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a patient service, medical front office, healthcare administrative, or related role.
- Experience using EPIC for scheduling, patient records, or administrative workflows.
- Strong knowledge of patient scheduling, authorizations, and healthcare office procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist patients, providers, and internal teams professionally.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work with professionalism in a healthcare services setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting multiple departments, specialties, or provider schedules.
- Experience working in a fast-paced medical office, clinic, hospital department, or healthcare services environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm, helpful, and accurate when managing a high volume of calls and patient requests.
