Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate patient scheduling across multiple departments while helping ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.
- Provide high-volume phone support, including answering patient inquiries, routing calls, and assisting with appointment-related needs.
- Process, track, and manage patient authorizations accurately and efficiently.
- Use EPIC to update patient records, manage scheduling details, and support daily administrative workflows.
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and internal departments regarding appointments, authorizations, and care coordination needs.
- Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism while working in a busy healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage complex patient scheduling across multiple departments.
- Provide high-volume phone support in a healthcare environment.
- Process and manage patient authorizations accurately and efficiently.
- Support patient coordination using EPIC and medical terminology.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant healthcare administrative, patient services, or medical office experience.
- Hands-on EPIC experience is required. Candidates without EPIC experience will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare or medical office environment.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and patient support skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach to supporting patients and clinical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior Patient Service Representative experience in a large healthcare system, specialty clinic, or multi-department medical environment.
- Experience managing insurance authorizations, referrals, or related patient access workflows.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and service-focused while handling high call volume and competing priorities.
