Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our growing healthcare team in Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a front-facing patient support role and a strong understanding of medical office procedures. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in a professional, courteous manner
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Verify insurance coverage and process authorizations as needed
Collect co-pays and other payments; maintain accurate financial records
Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and route calls appropriately
Maintain and update patient records in the EMR system
Assist with pre-visit preparations, including forms and documentation
Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company confidentiality policies
Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications:
1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual (Spanish or another language) is a plus
