Key Responsibilities
Patient Engagement & Communication
• Manage a high volume of outbound and inbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies following established guidelines.
• Explore and identify issues that may prevent patients from taking their medications consistently—such as affordability, transportation challenges, confusion about instructions, or decreased motivation.
• Use empathy, clear communication, and motivational techniques to encourage patients to refill and take medications as directed.
Support & Coordination
• Work closely with patients to troubleshoot concerns and remove obstacles whenever possible.
• Escalate complex or clinical matters to a pharmacist for further support.
• Coordinate with providers or pharmacies to ensure timely processing of prescription refills.
Documentation & Performance
• Maintain accurate and detailed notes of all communication and findings in internal systems.
• Consistently meet performance goals, including productivity, quality of documentation, and engagement metrics.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a call center, pharmacy, or healthcare related role.
• Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and persuasive communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport, handle objections, and guide conversations effectively.
• Comfortable using computer programs, phone platforms, and documentation tools; electronic health record (EHR) experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic work environment.
• Must be available to work during Eastern Standard Time hours, including potential evening or Saturday shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT) or an active Pharmacy Technician license.
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in English and Spanish.
