Client located in East Orlando is in search of a temporary associate (temp-to-perm) to support our Patient Accounts team, with a primary focus on insurance denials and appeals. Please let me know if you’re able to assist by sharing a few qualified candidates for review.
Position Details:
Role: Patient Accounts – Denials & Appeals
Status: Temp to Perm
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (pending final confirmation)
Work Environment: Fully onsite
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Review insurance denials, EOBs, and denial letters to identify root causes
Prepare, submit, and follow up on appeals within payer deadlines
Correct and resubmit claims, including coding and demographic issues
Communicate with insurance companies via phone and payer portals
Collaborate with providers and internal departments (BOS, UR, etc.)
Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance
Analyze denial trends and recommend workflow improvements
Prepare denial outcome reports and support takeback reviews
Required Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding (behavioral health, mental health, and substance abuse services preferred)
Strong understanding of insurance reimbursement guidelines
Excellent written communication skills, particularly for appeals
High attention to detail and strong time management
Ability to review medical records and interpret payer policies
