About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Access Representative I to join a fast-paced hospital environment. This role is heavily focused on data entry and patient registration within the lab, requiring accuracy, efficiency, and strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Register 125–150 patients daily in a high-volume setting
Provide a welcoming and professional experience for patients
Support patient access across Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Services
Perform registration, scheduling, and pre-registration functions
Assist with financial clearance, referrals, authorizations, and insurance verification
Support patient arrival and check-in processes
Collaborate across departments including billing and physician services
Maintain accuracy and compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
1–2 years of registration experience in a hospital setting (required)
Strong PC and data entry skills
Knowledge of health insurance processes and terminology
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EPIC EHR system
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
Work Environment
On-site position within a hospital lab setting
