An ideal candidate for this position would have a strong attention to detail, be proficient with measuring tools, possess the ability to interpret technical Engineering drawings, with a strong mechanical aptitude to allow them to identify non-conformities or defects due the manufacturing process, and have the technical knowledge and analytical ability to streamline processes to increase efficiencies. This candidate would have experience using AQL sampling systems, using a CMM or Optical Comparator, and experience using electrical testing equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
Utilize measurement tools including but not limited to Calipers, Thread Gauges, Micrometers, Surface Gauges, to accurately check dimensions of components
Interpret Engineering drawings, record measurements, and confirm all dimensions conform to the drawing specifications
Identify, record, and document any discrepancies between measured dimensions and drawing dimensions
Notify Engineering and present discrepancy reports detailing any non-conformities
Use Electrical Testing Equipment such as a Hi-Pot or Megohmmeter to verify conformance of insulation materials to specifications
