We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Associate for a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This role is ideal for someone with 3 to 5 years of counter sales, parts, retail, or customer service experience who enjoys helping customers find the right solutions in a fast-paced environment.
The Parts Counter Sales Associate will support customers, technicians, and vendors by identifying parts, processing orders, maintaining accurate inventory information, and delivering professional service at the counter. Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers and technicians with identifying, locating, and ordering the correct parts for equipment or repair needs.
- Source parts from suppliers, place orders, and coordinate timely distribution to customers or internal teams.
- Provide friendly, professional service while communicating clearly with customers, technicians, vendors, and team members.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, parts information, order documentation, and related transaction details.
- Keep the parts counter, inventory area, and workspaces clean, organized, and efficient.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards in daily operations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in parts counter sales, retail counter sales, cashiering, customer service, inventory, or a related environment.
- Ability to identify parts needs, research product information, and communicate options clearly to customers.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, helpful, and dependable approach.
- Basic computer skills for order entry, inventory lookup, documentation, and transaction processing.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple requests.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, industrial facilities, skilled trades, equipment repair, or infrastructure-related parts environments.
- Familiarity with parts catalogs, inventory systems, point-of-sale systems, or supplier ordering processes.
- Previous experience supporting technicians, service teams, or trade customers.
- Cash handling or retail counter sales experience.
