A confidential client in Camarillo, CA is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper / Office Admin to support bookkeeping, payroll, office administration, and basic HR-related functions. This is a strong opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys variety, accuracy, and supporting a busy office environment.

The Part-Time Bookkeeper / Office Admin will work with QuickBooks, payroll records, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, employee documentation, and general office coordination. This role is ideal for someone who is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, trustworthy with confidential information, and comfortable working independently.

This opportunity offers stable part-time hours, schedule flexibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across accounting, payroll, HR support, and daily office operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage bookkeeping functions in QuickBooks, including data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and general accounting support.
- Enter receipts, supplier invoices, payments, and other transactions while ensuring accurate coding and documentation.
- Process regular and off-cycle payroll, review employee timecards, validate overtime, sick time, vacation, bonuses, piece-rate pay, and supplemental payments.
- Assist with month-end, year-end, quarter-end, payroll tax, W-2, 943, 940, and audit-related preparation.
- Maintain employee records, onboarding paperwork, training documentation, benefits information, staff directories, and other HR-related files.
- Provide general office administrative support, including phones, email, scanning, filing, mail, supplies, reporting, data entry, office events, and operational documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $25 to $30 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
- Hours: Flexible, but must follow a consistent weekly schedule.
- Location: Camarillo, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage bookkeeping, general ledger support, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable using QuickBooks.
- Process payroll, validate timecards, reconcile payroll transactions, and support payroll compliance reporting.
- Maintain accurate employee, accounting, payroll, and administrative records.
- Support office operations through administrative coordination, reporting, filing, communication, and documentation.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, office administration, or a similar role.
- QuickBooks experience is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- Strong accounts payable and payroll processing experience is required.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, general bookkeeping practices, and financial documentation standards.
- Understanding of payroll deductions, pre-tax and post-tax items, benefits administration, payroll compliance, and taxation requirements.
- Working knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations affecting pay, deductions, and reporting.
- Strong Excel skills are required, with intermediate level or higher preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365 tools.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and employee information.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and ownership.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a part-time schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in agriculture, farming, or related industries is a plus.
- Experience supporting benefits enrollment or basic HR administration is preferred.
- Experience assisting with payroll audits, workers’ compensation audits, retirement plan audits, or other compliance-related documentation is helpful.
