Part-Time Bookkeeper

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month-end close. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a small to mid-sized business environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process and manage Washington State payroll, ensuring compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements
• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Compile, organize, and reconcile financial data on a regular basis
• Prepare and process payroll tax filings and reports (WA state-specific)
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain general ledger entries and journal entries
• Generate basic financial reports as needed (P&L, balance sheets, etc.)
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Collaborate with internal teams and external accountants as needed

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting support
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Knowledge of Washington State payroll, including state taxes and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to compile and analyze financial data accurately
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree or coursework in Accounting or Finance
• Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses
• Familiarity with WA state labor and payroll compliance
