Job Title: Administrative Assistant
ONSITE Escondido, CA
$20/hr
Temporary until December 2025, could potentially extend
Part Time 20-25 hours a week, M-F 8am-12/1pm
We are seeking a reliable and organized Administrative Aide to support a building department for a government organization. Primary responsibilities include returning phone calls to the public regarding permits, inspections, and general inquiries, as well as performing data entry for building inspections using Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
Key Duties:
Respond to and return public phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
Enter building inspection data accurately into tracking systems
Assist with document management, filing, and permit processing
Provide general administrative support to department staff
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Experience in an office or municipal environment preferred
