Job Title: Part-Time Accounting Clerk (Temporary)
Location: Winter Park, FL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 20–25 hours per week (approx. 4–5 hours per day)
Assignment Length: approximately ~8 weeks (maternity leave coverage)
Pay: $22-25/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations during a temporary coverage period. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and can quickly step in to ensure continuity across key accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account balancing
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal team members to ensure smooth financial operations
Utilize accounting software and systems to manage transactions and reporting
Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes
Experience with AP, AR, and account reconciliations required
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Preferred (Nice to Have):
Experience supporting month-end close processes
Prior experience in a hybrid or remote work environment
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
