Responsibilities:
- Paralegal with minimum of 2-5 years of law firm experience required
- Experience in public finance, real estate, lending, government representation and/or affordable housing
- Drafting documents for loans, bond transactions, acquisitions, closings, and due diligence review, as well as variety of support work for governmental and private clients
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Prepare and work on loan closings
- Draft, review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with document review and analysis during the loan process
- Well-versed in title review and public records' searches
- Able to work with a high volume and prioritize tasks and track billable time
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent typing and word processing skills; attention to detail for proofreading legal documents
- Proficient in conducting legal research and public records' searches using various resources
- Ability to communicate with clients effectively
- Strong written communication and word-processing skills to draft legal documents; knowledge of law terminology, procedures, and regulations
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with little supervision
- Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and O365; Centerbase Cloud-Based Law Firm Management & Accounting software a plus, not required
