Firm is located in Orlando. Must be able to go to office for 2 weeks training. After this the job can be remote. Firm will only look at candidates with at least 3 years of WC experience.
Paralegal will be responsible drafting discovery requests and responses under the supervision of the attorneys, setting records custodian depositions, drafting, serving, and responding to subpoenas, assisting the attorneys with managing discovery deadlines, drafting medical records requests, reviewing medical records, preparing medical records composites, preparing and organizing exhibits for trials and depositions, communicating with clients and court, and assisting attorney’s with managing caseloads.
Requirements: Proficiency in reading and writing, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, ability to conduct online research to contact medical providers and other records custodians, and telephone etiquette.
Preferred Skills: Experience in Workers’ Compensation, familiar with DOAH/OJCC and e-filing, familiar with MyCase or other file management software, and prior legal experience.
