About the Opportunity Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Paralegal to join our legal team in the Seattle area. This position will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys and assist with case management, document preparation, legal research, client communication, and maintaining accurate case files.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. Strong communication skills, discretion, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Provide day-to-day support to attorneys and legal staff
Prepare, organize, and file legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other case materials
Conduct legal research and gather relevant statutes, regulations, and case information
Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical case files
Assist with discovery, including document collection, review, organization, and production
Coordinate deadlines, hearings, meetings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties
Prepare case summaries, chronologies, exhibits, and other supporting materials
Track case deadlines and ensure required documents are completed and submitted on time
Assist with billing, timekeeping, and other administrative responsibilities as needed
Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Support attorneys with special projects and other legal research or administrative tasks
Qualifications
2+ years of paralegal experience preferred
Paralegal certificate, associate degree, or equivalent legal experience preferred
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple cases, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
Experience with legal case management or document management software is a plus
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal staff
Strong judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a proactive legal professional who can anticipate the needs of the attorneys they support. You should be comfortable working with deadlines, handling confidential information, communicating with clients and outside parties, and taking ownership of your responsibilities.
Experience in litigation, corporate law, real estate, employment law, personal injury, or another specialized legal practice area is a plus.
