Our client it seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal with 5+ years of experience in estate planning, probate administration, and estate-related litigation in Washington State. About the Role
In this position, you will play an integral role in supporting attorneys throughout the estate planning, probate, and litigation process. You will manage case files, prepare core estate documentation, communicate with clients and courts, and ensure all filings strictly comply with Washington State procedural requirements. This role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Draft and prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
Assist with full probate and trust administration: petitions, creditor notices, inventories, accountings, and communications with beneficiaries.
Support contested matters including TEDRA actions, trust disputes, guardianship litigation, and related estate litigation.
Prepare pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, deposition materials, and trial notebooks.
Maintain accurate case calendars, court deadlines, and internal records.
Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, fiduciaries, and third-party vendors.
Conduct legal research related to probate, estate litigation, and Washington State statutes.
Serve as a professional, compassionate point of contact for clients navigating sensitive personal circumstances.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning, probate, or estate litigation.
Strong understanding of Washington probate procedures, estate litigation processes, and local court rules.
Exceptional drafting, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with e-filing systems, legal case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
