Overall Purpose:
To assist our private labor and employment law team in handling single plaintiff actions and claims, as well as class and representative actions.
Essential Job Duties:
• Prepare for depositions and law and motion hearings, including exhibits to be used.
• Perform document and deposition reviews and summaries and prepare document productions.
• Manage assigned cases with the ability to perform the full range of litigation paralegal tasks from case inception through discovery, trial, post-trial, and case closure.
• Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses, including form interrogatories, special interrogatories, requests for admission, and requests for the production of documents.
• Prepare and track subpoenas for records.
• Provide support for dispositive motions, including exhibits and citations.
• Prepare timelines and chronologies.
• Conduct background, litigation, and social media searches.
• Perform all other duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Excellent proofreading skills.
• Ability to research and analyze large amounts of documents and/or data.
• Strong client service and support skills.
• Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of law firm experience preferred.
• Proficient in using Excel, including data entry and review, formatting, formulas, tabs, sorting, etc.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize workload, and work effectively under time constraints/deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
