Job Summary

We are seeking a Panel Assembly Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Fremont, CA. Key Responsibilities

- Assemble cable assemblies, wire harnesses, panels, and electromechanical components according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Cut, strip, crimp, solder, terminate, route, and secure wires and cables using hand tools, soldering equipment, heat guns, and specialized assembly equipment.
- Perform continuity, resistance, and functional testing using multimeters, continuity testers, and related electrical test equipment.
- Inspect completed assemblies for workmanship, accuracy, quality compliance, and conformance to customer specifications.
- Identify and report defects, discrepancies, non-conforming materials, or process issues to support production and quality goals.
- Maintain accurate production documentation while following ESD, safety, and 5S work-area practices.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Assemble, wire, test, and inspect panel, cable, and harness assemblies in a production environment.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
- Support quality, documentation, and production efficiency goals through accurate hands-on assembly work.

- 6 to 10 years of relevant manufacturing, cable assembly, panel assembly, wire harness, or electromechanical assembly experience.
- Experience with cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, terminating, and routing wires and cables.
- Ability to use hand tools, soldering tools, heat guns, multimeters, continuity testers, and basic electrical test equipment.
- Strong understanding of workmanship standards, inspection practices, ESD handling, and safety procedures.
- Ability to identify defects, follow corrective instructions, and communicate production or quality issues clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Preferred Qualifications

- PCB assembly experience.
- Experience in electronics, components, semiconductor, or related manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-620, IPC-A-610, or J-STD soldering/workmanship standards.
- Experience working in a 5S, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement environment.
