We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Technician – Manufacturing for a long-term contract opportunity in Pittsburg, CA. The Packaging Technician – Manufacturing will perform manual packaging tasks, follow SOP and GMP requirements, inspect work for quality, and help keep production moving accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Pack and package products by hand using approved materials and established packaging procedures.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety guidelines throughout each shift.
- Read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions to complete packaging tasks accurately.
- Inspect packaged products for quality, accuracy, labeling, and overall presentation.
- Handle materials safely, including regularly moving items up to 20 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area while supporting production goals.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform manual packaging and hand assembly tasks in a manufacturing or light industrial setting.
- Follow SOPs, GMPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Inspect packaged materials for accuracy, completeness, and defects.
- Support production flow through reliable attendance, focus, and attention to detail.

- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in packaging, production, assembly, manufacturing, or light industrial work is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check is required.
- Ability to pass a light industrial skills test is required.
- Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and quality awareness.
- Good manual dexterity and comfort performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods depending on the task.
- Ability to regularly move items up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
- Safety awareness and willingness to follow workplace procedures.
- Basic MS Office skills preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a GMP-regulated or procedure-driven manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with packaging equipment, packaging materials, and basic quality inspection processes.
- Prior experience in assembly line, production line, warehouse packaging, or light industrial operations.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office.
