Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Packaging Production Associate for a temporary contract opportunity in De Soto, KS. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented production professional who enjoys hands-on work, equipment operation, quality-focused processes, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
As a Packaging Production Associate, you will support daily production and packaging operations by operating equipment, monitoring quality, completing documentation, and following established SOPs. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, steady afternoon hours, and the opportunity to work in a structured production environment with supportive supervision, clear expectations, and a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production and packaging equipment, including startup, minor adjustments, and ongoing quality monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of production activities, equipment checks, and process requirements.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment according to established SOPs and safety procedures.
- Monitor products and packaging for quality, consistency, and compliance with production standards.
- Follow safety guidelines, production procedures, and sanitation expectations throughout the shift.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production goals and operational needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $18 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Operate and monitor production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Complete accurate production documentation and follow established procedures.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain work areas according to SOPs.
- Support quality, safety, and production goals throughout the shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of related production, packaging, manufacturing, or operations experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and production tracking.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs intermittently.
- Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with USDA regulations, SOPs, and SPPs.
- Previous experience in packaging, food production, regulated manufacturing, or sanitation-focused production environments.
