We are seeking a dependable Packaging Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Mentor, OH. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing, production, or packaging experience who enjoys hands-on work, steady hours, and being part of a team-focused production environment.
The Packaging Operator will help produce and prepare adhesives and sealants for shipment by operating filling and packaging equipment, labeling products, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Key Responsibilities
- Operate filling, packaging, and related production equipment according to established procedures.
- Package adhesives and sealants, apply labels, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Perform routine quality checks to confirm products meet specifications and packaging standards.
- Complete production paperwork accurately and maintain required documentation.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety and equipment training requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $19 to $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Employment Type: Direct Hire.
- Operate filling and packaging equipment in a production environment.
- Package, label, inspect, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Complete production documentation and follow established work instructions.
- Support basic equipment troubleshooting and maintain a safe work area.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 2 years of manufacturing, production, or packaging experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for production counts, measurements, and documentation.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Willing to complete required safety and equipment training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating packaging, filling, labeling, or similar production equipment.
- Experience working with adhesives, sealants, chemicals, or related manufactured products.
- Familiarity with quality checks, batch records, production paperwork, or shipping preparation.
