Job Summary
We are seeking a Packaging Operator in the Kansas City area within a fast-paced consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment. This role is a strong fit for candidates with 1 to 2 years of production, packaging, warehouse, or manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in accuracy, consistency, and teamwork.
As a Packaging Operator, you will help keep production moving by preparing, inspecting, labeling, and packing finished goods according to quality and safety standards. This is a team-focused workplace where dependable employees, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are valued. The role offers the opportunity to build experience in manufacturing operations with supportive leadership, clear work instructions, and a steady temp-to-hire path for reliable performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Package finished products according to production requirements, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Inspect products, labels, and packaging materials for accuracy, damage, defects, or inconsistencies.
- Label, sort, count, and prepare items for shipment or additional production processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Support production goals by working efficiently, following directions, and communicating issues to leads or supervisors.
- Assist with basic material handling, production line support, and other duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $14.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Package, inspect, label, sort, and prepare finished goods in a production environment.
- Support daily manufacturing and assembly line operations by following work instructions and safety procedures.
- Maintain product quality by identifying defects, inconsistencies, or packaging issues.
- Assist with material handling, line support, and general production tasks as needed.
- 1 to 2 years of production, packaging, warehouse, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable working 3rd shift from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hands-on tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance, positive attitude, and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
- Experience working on a production line, assembly line, or packaging line.
- Familiarity with labeling, counting, sorting, inspecting, and preparing products for shipment.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality.
