Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Packaging Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Kansas City, KS. This role is ideal for someone with 1 to 2 years of manufacturing, production, warehouse, or packaging experience who enjoys hands-on work in a structured production environment.

The Packaging Operator is responsible for bagging finished product according to standard operating procedures, verifying product accuracy, supporting quality expectations, and maintaining a clean work area. Key Responsibilities

- Package finished product in the correct bags, containers, and labeled packaging according to BMI and facility procedures.
- Verify product amounts, lot numbers, pallet cards, product codes, tag codes, and batch ticket information for accuracy.
- Take product samples on specified batches for third-party testing and retain required samples.
- Operate both toting and bagging lines while following production and quality standards.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain a clean, organized work area according to the master sanitation schedule.
- Perform additional production, packaging, and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $14.00 per hour.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Orientation is held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Package finished product according to SOPs, BMI instructions, and labeling requirements.
- Operate bagging and toting lines in a production environment.
- Verify batch, product, lot, pallet, and tag information for accuracy.
- Support product quality, sampling, sanitation, and housekeeping requirements.

- 1 to 2 years of relevant manufacturing, production, packaging, or operations experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to follow and understand instructions in English.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to accurately compare product, label, and batch information.
- Must be able to follow Good Manufacturing Practices, safety procedures, and sanitation requirements.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
- Must have safety toe shoes or boots for orientation and production work.
- Must wear jeans or long pants and a T-shirt or long sleeve shirt.
- No hats or jewelry are permitted on the production floor, including earrings, rings, and watches.
- Shoulder-length or longer hair must be secured in a bun or placed in a hairnet.
- Cell phones are not permitted on the production floor.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience operating bagging, toting, packaging, or production line equipment.
- Previous experience working in a GMP, food-grade, ingredient, or regulated production environment.
- Strong housekeeping habits and experience following sanitation schedules.
- Ability to work well as part of a production team while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
