Role: Packaging Operator

Pay: $14/hr

Assignment:

Packaging finished product according to facility SOPs, including bagging, quality checks, and operation of packaging lines.

Location:

Kansas City, Kansas

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

What you'll do:
• Place finished product into proper packaging as outlined on the BMI
• Ensure finished product quantities match BMI specifications
• Confirm correct materials are bagged into properly labeled containers
• Verify lot number, pallet cards, product code, and tag code are recorded on the batch ticket
• Collect product samples for specified batches for third-party testing and retain samples
• Ensure product quality standards are met and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Maintain a clean work area and complete required housekeeping per the master sanitation schedule
• Operate both toting and bagging lines
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Additional Skills

Requirements:

• Must complete Gatefeed Training

• Must have steel-toe boots and be ready to work the day after orientation (no exceptions)

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

• Ability to follow and understand instructions in English


If starting the same day as orientation, candidates must have:

• Safety toe shoes/boots

• Jeans or long pants

• T-shirt or long sleeve shirt

• No hats or jewelry (including earrings, rings, watches, etc.)

• Hair at shoulder length or longer must be tied in a bun or secured in a hairnet

• No cell phones on the production floor (store in car or backpack)
