Job Title: Packaging Operator
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr. – $19.50/hr.
Schedule: 6 days/week
1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Location: Mentor, OH 44060
Job Summary
This role supports recycling and production floor operations within a manufacturing environment. The position focuses on material handling, recycling processes, and maintaining a clean and compliant workspace. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a physically active, shop floor setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily recycling operations, including sorting and processing materials
• Perform caulk removal (“caulk-out”) activities as part of production support
• Handle and dispose of recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, and bags
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Follow all company safety protocols and operational procedures
• Support general shop floor activities as needed
• Adhere to attendance and productivity standards
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Brillium Light Industrial (LI) assessment required
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. consistently
• Comfortable working in a shop floor or warehouse environment
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Reliable attendance and work ethic
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
• Shop floor / warehouse environment with exposure to industrial conditions
• Prolonged standing, walking, and repetitive movement
• Frequent lifting and handling of materials up to 40 lbs.
• May involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
