Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Associate for a temporary contract opportunity in Saint Joseph, MO. This role is ideal for someone with production, packaging, warehouse, or mechanical experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Packaging Associate, you will support daily production line operations by packing, labeling, stacking, handling components, and helping maintain product quality and safety standards. This position offers steady weekday hours, a team-focused work environment, and the opportunity to build valuable manufacturing and production skills with supportive leadership and clear daily expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and support the production line, including case erecting, packing, labeling, stacking, and palletizing.
- Verify components, product codes, labels, and recipes to ensure accuracy and product consistency.
- Monitor product quality and report damaged, incorrect, or out-of-spec products to Quality Control.
- Perform routine cleaning, basic line adjustments, and continuous improvement tasks to support smooth operations.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area while following all safety and PPE requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $18 per hour.
- Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Job type: Temporary contract.
- Location: Saint Joseph, MO.
- Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection are provided as needed.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate and maintain production line equipment and support manual packaging processes.
- Pack, label, stack, and palletize products according to production standards.
- Verify production documents, product codes, labels, recipes, and component accuracy.
- Support quality, safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities.

- 1 to 2 years of related production, packaging, warehouse, or mechanical experience is helpful.
- Ability to stand for 8 to 9 hours per day and perform frequent bending.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Ability to read and understand production documents, SDS information, recipes, labels, and safety instructions.
- Comfortable working in temperatures of approximately 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Steel-toe or composite safety boots or shoes are required.
- Ability to follow PPE guidelines, including use of safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection when required.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to support production needs.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or similar warehouse equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience making minor line adjustments.
- Familiarity with quality checks, product labeling, component verification, or production documentation.
