Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Associate for a contract/temporary opportunity in Kansas City, MO within the consumer packaged goods manufacturing industry. This hands-on production role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, or general production experience who enjoys fast-paced work and takes pride in accuracy.

As a Packaging Associate, you will support daily production by preparing, inspecting, labeling, counting, and packing finished goods according to quality and safety standards. This is a team-focused environment where dependable attendance, clear communication, and a positive attitude are valued. Candidates can expect supportive production leadership, clear work instructions, and the opportunity to contribute to an efficient and quality-driven operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Package finished products according to production requirements, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Inspect products and packaging materials for damage, defects, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies.
- Label, sort, count, and prepare items for shipment or additional production processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Support production goals by working efficiently, following directions, and communicating issues to leads or supervisors.
- Assist with basic material handling, line support, and other general production tasks as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $14.00 per hour.

- Dependable attendance and willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to stand, move, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift as required in a manufacturing setting.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in consumer packaged goods manufacturing, food production, packaging, or high-volume production environments.
- Familiarity with basic labeling, counting, sorting, inspection, or line support tasks.
- Experience working in a safety-focused manufacturing or warehouse environment.
