Job Summary

We are seeking a Packaging Associate for a contract/temporary opportunity in Kansas City, MO within the consumer packaged goods manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of production, packaging, warehouse, or manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced operations environment.

As a Packaging Associate, you will support daily production by preparing, inspecting, labeling, and packing finished goods according to quality and safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a team-focused manufacturing environment where reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are valued. Key Responsibilities

- Package finished products according to production requirements, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Inspect products and packaging materials for accuracy, damage, defects, or inconsistencies.
- Label, sort, count, and prepare items for shipment or further production processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Support production goals by working efficiently, following directions, and communicating issues to leads or supervisors.
- Assist with basic material handling, line support, and other production tasks as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $14.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Package, label, inspect, and prepare consumer packaged goods for production or shipment.
- Support production line operations and maintain accurate workflow throughout the shift.
- Follow quality control, safety, and cleanliness standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Assist with sorting, counting, staging, and basic material handling as needed.

- 1-2 years of relevant experience in packaging, production, manufacturing, warehouse, or a similar operations role.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production setting.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills and the ability to report production or quality concerns promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in consumer packaged goods manufacturing or food, beverage, household goods, or similar production environments.
- Familiarity with packaging lines, labeling processes, quality checks, or production workflows.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing setting.
