Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Lead for a direct hire opportunity in Cayey, PR. This role is ideal for a bilingual manufacturing leader with strong Lean Management experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to coordinate production teams in a fast-paced operations environment.
The Production Lead will supervise and support Production Supervisors while driving improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, cost control, workflow optimization, and team performance. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building effective processes, developing teams, solving operational challenges, and partnering with leadership to achieve measurable manufacturing results.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative production environment with cross-functional interaction, exposure to internal and external stakeholders, and a meaningful role in shaping operational excellence through Lean practices, training programs, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise Production Supervisors to improve production flow, operational efficiency, safety, quality, and cost performance.
- Map workflows, identify waste, and implement Lean Management practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate production plans, maintenance schedules, repairs, timelines, and budget adherence.
- Facilitate training and certification programs in partnership with local management and corporate standards.
- Optimize the performance of materials, machinery, processes, and personnel to support production goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and auditors.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $45,000 to $60,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Coordinate production operations, workflow improvements, and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Lead Production Supervisors and support the performance of operators, material handlers, and production teams.
- Manage production planning, maintenance coordination, process optimization, and compliance expectations.
- Facilitate training, certification, and continuous improvement programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Science, or 6 to 8 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Lean Black Belt Certification required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant production, manufacturing, operations, or leadership experience preferred based on role level.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of process improvement techniques.
- Ability to apply statistical concepts, ratios, percentages, and basic algebra or geometry.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Excel including pivot tables and charts, and internet research.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to solve complex operational problems and present information clearly and effectively.
