Job Summary

A manufacturing operation in Greenville, KY is seeking an experienced PLC Automation Technician for a direct hire, full-time opportunity in food and beverage production. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance and automation professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting production uptime, and improving plant reliability.

The PLC Automation Technician will work closely with maintenance, operations, and production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, teamwork, and equipment performance are top priorities. Key Responsibilities

- Program, troubleshoot, and support PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems.
- Perform daily maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical, electronic, and automation systems throughout production areas.
- Respond quickly to equipment issues to reduce downtime and support safe, efficient production operations.
- Develop, maintain, and organize electrical schematics, electronic prints, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Execute preventative maintenance work orders accurately and on schedule to improve equipment reliability.
- Support preoperational testing, equipment inspections, and start-up readiness before production begins.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $28 to $32 per hour.
- Employment type: Direct hire, full-time.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, and automation support for production equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, and automated systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and support equipment inspections.
- Partner with maintenance, operations, and production teams to improve uptime and plant performance.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant maintenance, automation, PLC, electrical, or electronics experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capability.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, electronic controls, schematics, prints, and industrial troubleshooting practices.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues quickly and complete effective repairs in a production setting.
- Experience completing preventative maintenance work orders and documenting maintenance activity.
- Strong attention to safety, reliability, accuracy, and production support.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with maintenance, operations, and production teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in food and beverage production or a similar regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting automated packaging, processing, conveying, or production equipment.
- Ability to create or update troubleshooting guides, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude in addition to electrical and automation skills.
