AppleOne has partnered with a leading company in the Outdoor Living industry that is seeking an experienced Outdoor Living Industry Specialist to support sales strategy and product positioning with major retail partners.

This is a high-impact advisory role focused primarily on patio umbrellas, with additional involvement in the broader outdoor living category including outdoor furniture, fabrics, materials, and product construction.

The ideal candidate brings deep category expertise and strong credibility within the outdoor living industry, helping guide buyer conversations and strengthen product positioning with major retailers.

Important: This is not a quota-carrying sales role. Instead, you will serve as a category expert and strategic partner to the sales leadership team.

What You’ll Do

• Participate in retailer meetings alongside senior sales leadership
• Provide expert insight on patio umbrellas, outdoor furniture, and outdoor materials
• Answer buyer questions related to fabrics, frames, durability, construction, and product performance
• Support discussions around product features, pricing tiers, and competitive positioning
• Help prepare for retailer presentations, line reviews, and product discussions
• Share industry insights and category knowledge before and after buyer meetings

Core Category Focus

• Patio umbrellas (primary focus)
• Outdoor furniture
• Outdoor fabrics and materials
• Product durability, construction, and quality
• Outdoor living category trends and competitive landscape

Ideal Background

• 5–10+ years of experience in the Outdoor Living industry
• Experience with patio umbrellas and/or outdoor furniture
• Strong familiarity with materials, construction, and product durability
• Experience supporting or working with major retail accounts

Retailer experience may include:
• Walmart
• Sam’s Club
• Costco
• Home Depot
• Lowe’s

Candidates should understand:
• Seasonal retail programs
• Line reviews and product presentations
• Retail buyer expectations
• Outdoor product development and manufacturing considerations
