Our client is seeking a direct hire for the
Operations Manager position to oversee transportation operations across the San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose International Airports.
Based in Burlingame, CA, this leadership role demands a results-driven operator with operational expertise, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The Operations Manager will manage a team of 85-90 drivers, ensuring safe and seamless transportation services for airline crew members.
Key responsibilities include team leadership, troubleshooting operational issues, enforcing strict safety protocols, and maintaining high service standards.
This role also requires fostering driver engagement and morale, while acting as the primary point of contact for airline partners to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large teams in transportation, logistics, or related industries and possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have 5–7 years of stable work history in transportation—preferably airline transportation—managing a workforce of up to 100 employees across multiple locations.
A strong background in DOT regulations is essential, and a bachelor’s degree would be ideal. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership abilities, interpersonal communication skills, and an understanding of transportation safety practices.
Flexibility to work varied hours and proficiency with technology for scheduling and reporting are also critical.
Preferred qualifications include prior leadership experience in the airline, transportation, or logistics industries and managing workforces in dynamic environments.
