A leading transportation equipment rental and leasing organization is hiring an Operations Management Trainee in West Sacramento, CA. The Operations Management Trainee role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, solving problems, working with customers, and learning how a high-volume rental branch operates. Key Responsibilities

- Support daily branch operations in a transportation yard and office environment, with approximately 80 percent of the role outdoors and 20 percent in the office.
- Assist commercial customers with trailer rental needs, equipment options, account questions, and service requests.
- Inspect trailers using a handheld device, checking for damage, equipment issues, and overall condition.
- Manage customer account activities, including credit, collections support, and insurance verification.
- Coordinate repair work with vendors, mechanics, and internal teams to keep equipment rental-ready.
- Use technology to complete inventory, equipment tracking, operational updates, and branch workflow tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: West Sacramento, CA 95691.
- Work arrangement: Onsite.
- Office hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Available schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a similar field.
- 1 to 2 years of equivalent relevant experience in a customer-facing role.
- Must be willing to relocate out of state to another nationwide facility upon promotion into an operations or sales role.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future work authorization sponsorship.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Self-starter with strong motivation, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a conscientious work style.
- Comfortable working primarily outdoors in a transportation yard environment.
- Ability to learn operational systems, equipment processes, and branch procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in building a long-term career in operations management, transportation, logistics, equipment rental, or business-to-business sales.
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer service, retail, rental, warehouse, logistics, or operations environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Desire to grow into future roles such as Operations Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Outside Sales Executive, or Branch Manager.
