Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Clerk to support a busy Air Freight Operations team in Grapevine, TX. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, transportation, or administrative support who wants to build a long-term career in the logistics industry.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a motivated candidate who enjoys organized, fast-paced work and wants to learn air freight operations from the ground up. No air freight experience is required, and training will be provided for candidates who bring strong attention to detail, reliability, communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

The Operations Clerk will join a collaborative operations environment where accuracy, teamwork, and follow-through are highly valued. This role offers exposure to shipment documentation, transportation management systems, carrier coordination, customs-related paperwork, and day-to-day logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Enter, update, and maintain shipment information in transportation management systems.
- Prepare, organize, scan, file, and maintain shipping documents, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and operational records.
- Assist with shipment tracking, pickup and delivery scheduling, and routine communication with internal operations team members.
- Support documentation processing for carrier, customs, and compliance requirements.
- Verify shipment records, match carrier invoices, and help ensure billing accuracy.
- Respond to routine phone calls and email inquiries while providing general administrative support to the Air Operations team.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $36,000 to $46,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support shipment documentation, data entry, tracking, and file maintenance for air freight operations.
- Assist with carrier documentation, customs-related paperwork, invoice matching, and scheduling support.
- Provide administrative support to a fast-paced logistics operations team.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience preferred in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, transportation, or office administration.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and stay organized in a fast-paced operations environment.
- Reliable, professional, eager to learn, and comfortable working with shipment records and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree or coursework in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with shipping, freight, customs documentation, or transportation terminology.
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
