Job Summary

We are seeking an Office Services Specialist for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity in Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for a dependable, service-focused professional with experience in reception, mailroom, hospitality, records support, and copy/print services within a legal or professional office environment.

The Office Services Specialist will support attorneys, staff, clients, and visitors by helping ensure daily office operations run smoothly and professionally. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and customer-facing support in a structured office setting. The role offers exposure to multiple office services functions, supportive leadership, and the potential for long-term career growth through permanent placement when eligible.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet visitors, answer questions, and provide professional receptionist support.
- Assist with hospitality services for meetings, guests, and internal events.
- Handle printing, copying, scanning, document production, and records-related tasks with accuracy.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, shipping, receiving, and package distribution.
- Operate copiers, printers, postage machines, scanners, and other standard office equipment.
- Deliver responsive customer service to attorneys, staff, clients, and visitors.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Employment type: Temporary to permanent.
- Location: Chicago, IL.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide front desk, reception, and visitor support in a professional office environment.
- Support mailroom, shipping, receiving, and document handling processes.
- Perform copy, print, scan, and document production services.
- Maintain accurate records and organized workflow for office services operations.

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a law firm or legal office strongly preferred.
- Previous receptionist, mailroom, or copy center experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Experience operating office equipment, including printers, copiers, scanners, and postage machines.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Professional, friendly, adaptable, and able to support attorneys, staff, and visitors in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting attorneys, legal staff, or clients in a law firm or legal office.
- Experience with document production, records management, and confidential document handling.
- Familiarity with professional services office standards and client-facing support expectations.
