Direct Hire | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Salary: $56,160 – $66,560 (DOE)

AppleOne Newport Beach is partnering with a long-standing client in the construction industry seeking a highly assertive and proactive Office/Payroll Manager to take full ownership of daily office operations. As the owner transitions to a less hands-on role, this position is ideal for someone with initiative, leadership, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.

The Office/Payroll Manager will oversee administrative workflows, payroll processing, and serve as the central point of contact for staff and vendors. QuickBooks expertise is essential, and prior experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be organized, confident, and capable of implementing systems that improve efficiency and communication across the office.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily office operations and administrative support
Process payroll accurately and timely using QuickBooks
Serve as liaison between staff and ownership
Maintain office procedures, vendor relationships, and facility needs
Ensure compliance with HR policies and maintain confidential records
Lead with assertiveness and solve operational challenges proactively

Proficiency in QuickBooks (required); ADP, Sage, Microsoft Office,
