Immediate need for an Office & Payroll Manager to join this Accounting Firm in the Fremont area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a wide range of responsibilities in a small office environment.

This position involves processing payroll for approximately 40 clients, including managing payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with vacation, sick leave, and retirement plan regulations, and supporting quarterly and annual tax return preparation. Additional payroll responsibilities include calculating retirement contributions, maintaining payroll records, and processing office employee timecards.

As an Office Administrator, duties include managing daily office operations, handling communications, maintaining both physical and digital records, and assisting with bookkeeping tasks such as invoice management. In the role of Tax Prep Administrator, the position requires formatting and assembling tax returns and financial documents with precision, maintaining client files, and updating client information using specialized tools like CCH Practice Management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks is essential, along with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities. Ideal candidates should have experience in payroll processing, administrative support, and bookkeeping, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive attitude in streamlining workflow processes
