A well-established general contracting firm in Kent, WA is seeking a part-time Office Manager to support day-to-day administrative, bookkeeping, and accounting operations. Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily office operations, incoming mail, administrative tasks, and office organization.
- Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, recurring expenses, and accounting records using Sage.
- Prepare, distribute, and track subcontract agreements, Certificates of Insurance, and W-9 documentation.
- Monitor Positive Pay activity and maintain accurate vendor, accounting, and project files.
- Provide administrative support for special projects and cross-train in payroll, accounts receivable, and additional accounting functions.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $50,000 to $53,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 24 to 30 hours per week.
- Paid Time Off.
- Insurance stipend available in lieu of company-sponsored medical coverage.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage office administration, bookkeeping, and accounting support for a construction office.
- Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, recurring expenses, and accounting documentation.
- Maintain subcontractor files, COIs, W-9s, vendor records, and project-related documentation.
- Support cross-functional accounting needs, including payroll and accounts receivable as needed.

- 1 to 2 years of relevant office management, bookkeeping, accounting assistant, or administrative management experience.
- Experience using Sage accounting software.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently in a small office environment.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and follow-through skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in construction, general contracting, engineering, or another project-based industry.
- Familiarity with subcontract agreements, Certificates of Insurance, and W-9 documentation.
- Interest in growing into additional accounting responsibilities over time.
