We are seeking an Occupational Safety Officer to work on a 9-month construction project.
Regular Schedule: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Summer Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18 p/h
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction projects.
-Conduct daily site inspections and document findings.
- Prepare and submit incident reports, “near miss” documentation, and corrective action plans.
- Lead safety meetings and provide safety briefings to field personnel.
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- OSHA 30-hour certification REQUIRED.
- 5 years of experience as Safety Officer in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of federal OSHA regulations and applicable local standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work on-site, extended hours, and weekends as required by the project.
