Nurse Paralegal – Winter Park, FL
A well-established law firm in Winter Park, FL, with more than 40 years of experience in general and insurance defense litigation and a strong focus on healthcare law, is seeking a full-time Nurse Paralegal to join our team.
This role is ideal for a clinically experienced nurse who is ready to apply their medical knowledge in a legal setting. Prior paralegal experience is preferred but not required. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and summarize medical records
Assist attorneys with case preparation and medical-related litigation support
Conduct research related to medical issues, standards of care, and treatment guidelines
Prepare reports, timelines, and documentation for case files
Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, experts, and healthcare providers
Requirements
5+ years of in-hospital clinical experience
Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and guidelines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal communication skills
