Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced New Accounts/Customer Service Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, hands-on experience opening consumer and basic business accounts, and a solid understanding of banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Open and support a variety of accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust/Estate accounts
Conduct customer interviews and recommend appropriate banking products and services
Cross-sell to new and existing clients and help generate new business
Collaborate with other business units to identify sales opportunities
Process teller transactions as needed
Handle customer inquiries professionally and efficiently
Ensure accurate completion and uploading of all required documentation
Maintain knowledge of bank products, policies, and regulatory requirements
Prepare reports related to transactions and account activities
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of banking teller experience (required)
Experience opening consumer and basic business accounts
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively with customers and colleagues
Knowledge of basic banking regulations (BSA, Information Security)
High level of discretion with confidential information
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software
