A well-established public agency is seeking a hands-on Network Analyst to support and maintain critical network infrastructure across multiple locations. This is a fully onsite role ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of networking, troubleshooting, field work, and physical hands-on installation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshooting network switching, routing, and wireless equipment
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, including cabling, routers, switches, and physical layer troubleshooting
• Monitor WAN connections and perform network testing and diagnostics
• Provide first-level support for Cisco VOIP and analog phone systems
• Install and maintain network cabling and related hardware
• Maintain network documentation and equipment records
• Work directly with users to troubleshoot issues and provide technical support
• Assist with network improvements, upgrades, and technology recommendations
• Maintain professional communication and strong customer service with staff, vendors, and end users
Qualifications
• 2+ years of hands-on networking or related technical support experience
• Experience with LAN/WAN equipment, switches, routers, cabling, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, VLANs, and basic Cisco IOS commands
• Experience with Hewlett Packard network switches preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Exchange environments is a plus
• Experience with Citrix, VPNs, firewalls, proxy servers, or wireless technologies is highly desirable
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
• Position is fully onsite daily
• Travel between District locations is required using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• Role includes substantial physical and hands-on work, including cabling and equipment installation
• Candidates must be comfortable working in the field and handling physical networking tasks
