The Multi-State Payroll Specialist will support payroll operations for residential and commercial construction teams, helping ensure compliance, accuracy, and a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities

- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for employees across construction operations.
- Review timekeeping data, payroll changes, deductions, earnings, and adjustments for accuracy.
- Support payroll compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements.
- Partner with accounting, HR, field operations, and management to resolve payroll questions and discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and process improvements as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $57,000.00 to $63,000.00 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process multi-state payroll for employees across residential and commercial construction operations.
- Review payroll data, time records, deductions, adjustments, and payroll reports for accuracy.
- Support payroll compliance, documentation, reconciliations, and issue resolution.

- 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably with multi-state payroll exposure.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, wage calculations, payroll deductions, and payroll compliance requirements.
- Ability to work accurately with confidential employee and payroll information.
- Proficiency with payroll systems, spreadsheets, and accounting or HR-related software.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and deadline management.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to support employees, managers, HR, and accounting teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Payroll experience in the construction industry.
- Experience supporting payroll for both field and office employees.
- Familiarity with certified payroll, job costing, union payroll, or prevailing wage requirements.
- Experience assisting with payroll audits, reconciliations, and process improvements.
