Mortgage Collections Specialist

Pay $20-22 - no incentives

Key details:
* requires prior financial services related collections experience - two years minimum - work is quite complex and intricate
have at least a HS diploma or equivalent
* being able to train/pass testing through 5 week training program including nesting in role itself
* general knowledge of mortgage loan product, mortgage servicing and/or collections
* professional communication, negotiation and organizational skills

More details about role and responsibilities:
• Contact borrowers via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve delinquent mortgage accounts.
• Negotiate payment arrangements, repayment plans, and offer loss mitigation options in accordance with company policies and investor guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of borrower interactions and account status.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Customer Service, Loss Mitigation, and Foreclosure to ensure seamless servicing for the customer.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations including FDCPA, TCPA, RESPA, and CFPB guidelines.
• Identify and escalate high-risk accounts or potential fraud cases.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry changes and best practices.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as necessary

Desired Skills and Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Experience with FHA, VA, and Conventional Loan Servicing
• Familiarity with skip tracing tools and techniques.
• Basic understanding of FDCPA, TCPA, Regulation X, Regulation Z, Regulation V, Regulation E, and SCRA.


More details about training and schedule:
Training
5 weeks on a 9am-6pm EST schedule – mix of class room training, then live calls, then more training

Schedule
once out of training, 4 schedules are available:
9am-6pm; 10am-7pm; 11am-8pm; 12pm-9pm EST – Mon-Fri – Saturday on rotating basis every 3 weeks:

Saturday shifts are 8AM-3PM EST ( 6 hours) so during the week they will need to make up the two hours on other days. Usually, an hour is added to two shifts during the week to make sure everyone gets at least 40 hours. In addition, on the weeks that the worker would have a Saturday scheduled they would get a flex day during the week
