Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced FHA Claims Specialist for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a mortgage servicing professional with strong knowledge of FHA Part B claims, Claims Without Conveyance of Title, foreclosure claims, and investor guideline compliance.

The FHA Claims Specialist will play a key role in reviewing, testing, filing, and resolving foreclosure-related claims with a high degree of accuracy. Key Responsibilities

- Review, prepare, and file FHA Part B, CWCOT, VA, USDA, and supplemental foreclosure claims.
- Perform QA and QC testing to ensure claims are accurate, complete, and compliant with FHA/HUD and investor guidelines.
- Review foreclosure documentation, servicing records, timelines, expenses, and claim calculations.
- Identify discrepancies, missing documentation, claim errors, and compliance concerns before submission.
- Research and independently resolve claim exceptions, documentation issues, and claim status concerns.
- Monitor claims throughout the lifecycle to ensure deadlines, regulatory requirements, and internal standards are met.

- Pay range: $23 to $28 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage foreclosure-related claim preparation, review, testing, filing, and resolution.
- Support FHA Part B and CWCOT claim activity while ensuring compliance with FHA/HUD and investor guidelines.
- Review servicing documentation, claim calculations, foreclosure timelines, and expense records for accuracy.
- Communicate claim status, required corrections, and findings to internal teams and business partners.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of experience with FHA, VA, USDA, or supplemental foreclosure claims filing and/or QA/QC testing.
- Hands-on knowledge of FHA Part B claims and CWCOT processes required.
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing, foreclosure processes, claims lifecycles, and applicable guidelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and error prevention.
- Ability to analyze discrepancies, research issues, and independently resolve claim exceptions.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of borrower and loan information.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using LPS/MSP or a comparable mortgage servicing platform.
- Prior experience working with investor claim guidelines in a mortgage servicing or foreclosure claims environment.
- Experience supporting claims audits, exception resolution, or documentation remediation.
